  • This position will have experience in welding and fabrication, be able to read and interpret blueprints, and have a strong understanding of safety protocols. Responsible for inspection, quality assurance and quality control. Work with other technicians and professionals to complete routine field tasks and ensure welds are securely fastened. Evaluate welds to determine the structural integrity of each project.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Daily floor inspections, documentation, weld inspections general overview of part fit-up, visual weld inspection, review of welding WPS’s & PQR’s, compliance of welding credentials and documents.

    • Performing welder certification testing per the requirements of AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code, including some minor destructive testing.

    • Writing Welder Qualification Records, PQR’s & WPS.s.

    • Maintain daily inspection Records.

    • Monitor welder qualification records.

    • Maintain company control processes, procedures, and specifications.

    • Understand the requirements of the AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code.

    • Read and interpret fabrication drawings.

    • Daily verification of welding equipment and documentation.

    • Perform visual inspections of welded assemblies to verify that standards are met.

    • Verify and ensure that appropriate welding equipment is used for the work.

    • Verify and ensure that the welding is performed in compliance with the applicable welding procedure.

    • Verify documentation of procedure qualification test results

    • Document results of inspections

    • Ensure requalification requirements are maintained

    • Must follow and enforce all safety standards.

    • Oversee project quality to ensure compliance to codes, standards, regulations, equipment specific specifications, and QMS requirements.

    • Assist in advancing quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.

    • Approving incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.

    • Approving in-process production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.

    • Approving finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work.

    • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database.

    • Assist in identifying and developing solutions to correct inspection deficiencies.

    • Writes inspection and material testing reports and keeps these records organized per company procedure’s and standards.

    • Makes recommendations on technical specifications as assigned.

    • Performs additional related duties as assigned.

    • Regular and reliable performance and attendance is required.

    Education and/or Experience

    Required

    • Current and valid Certified Welding Inspector certification

    • 3 to 5 years work experience in a manufacturing environment.

    • Welding experience

    • Demonstrated experience performing visual inspection and nondestructive testing of welds; AWS D1.1 or D1.5 experience preferred.

    • Ability to review and interpret structural steel plans, working drawings, and technical specifications.

    • Proficiency in the use of weld inspection tools including weld gauges, NDT equipment, and micrometers.

    • Ability to read plans and specifications, complete daily work reports.

    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

    Summary

    Responsible for reviewing quote requests and correctly identifying material, labor, equipment, outside resources, engineering requirements and delivery schedules to provide accurate quotes and estimates.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Evaluating the researched request for quotes (RFQ) requirements compiling it together for determining necessary material, labor, equipment, outside resources, engineering requirements, and delivery schedules.

    • Developing detailed cost estimates, providing distinctive cost estimating procedure, completing necessary RFQ forms and setting up appropriate RFQ folders.

    • Responding to quote requests quickly, accurately, and efficiently.

    • Reviewing and recording the existing estimates of the company, tallying the records with previous estimates with current results, considering the difference in current estimation analysis for accurate results, etc.

    • Maintaining the current and previous estimation records, and referring to it occasionally for ensuring the range of accuracy, compliance, and completeness in the evaluated results

    • Collaborating with customers, management, engineering and production for determining the exact scope of work required in estimating report, reviewing and discussing the same with organizational heads for specific approach towards cost containment

    • Reviewing the method / procedure adopted by the organization for estimation purpose, and determining the scope of development in the same

    • Requesting Costing for all outside services, material, and hardware required.

    • Keeping track of the latest developments in estimating procedures, reviewing the same by building and maintaining relationship with vendors and customers. Promoting sales of company devices.

    Qualifications

    Education and/or Experience

    Required:

    • Minimum 2 yrs. Experience sales, estimating/quoting experience in a manufacturing environment or similar environment.

    • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.

    Preferred:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or related degree.

    • Metal fabrication experience.

    • Knowledge of BYSOFT software.

    • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

    Summary

    Responsible for scheduling, ensuring that shift is properly staffed and that all operations are carried out safely and on time. Package items for shipment ensuring integrity of product packaged, Print Labels, Weigh Packages, put product in inventory locations.

    • Prepares all paperwork required for shipment according to policy and procedures.

    • Oversee incoming and outgoing shipment to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments.

    • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers.

    • Supervise staff to ensure that tasks are completed on time and according to safety protocols and work procedures.

    • Order materials and supplies needed to support upcoming production requirements.

    • Evaluate staff performance and provide training where necessary.

    • Reviews and validates that all transactions are correct in MRP system.

    • Create and Maintain inventory system for finished goods.

    • Review quality of product as packaged.

    • Perform Daily/Weekly preventative maintenance as required.

    Summary

    The CNC Machinist performs detailed machine setups, G & M code (CNC) programming, machine process improvement and troubleshooting, and produces machined parts using a variety of CNC machines.

    • G & M code fluency and ability to edit programs

    • High level of blueprint reading required.

    • Proficiency with conversational controls is a plus.

  • Summary

    Responsible for utilizing models from customers and create documents, develop, and implement programs required to assemble, test, process and manufacture the company products. Responsible for estimating costing of product, establish process and rates in ERP system.

    • Good mechanical skills.

    • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills

    Preferred:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Manufacturing from an accredited college

    • Black Belt/Green Belt Certified in Six Sigma
