Summary
As a Laser Application and set up specialist you will provide detailed technical support. Managing special design requests and oversees the standardization of common requests. Programming and operation of lasers. Laser Application and set up specialists are responsible for troubleshooting problems that arise with laser systems. This could involve diagnosing issues with the laser's optical or electronic components, as well as developing solutions to fix these problems.

Measure and adjust settings as required to produce parts to customer requirements.
Manage and coordinate Preventative maintenance schedule to ensure equipment is maintained by manufacturer specifications.
Lead research programs by collaborating with managers, technicians, and engineers
Stay current with industry trends and technical advancements
Identifies and analyzes problems, gathers and sorts relevant data, and processes logically to determine preferred solution; applies knowledge and experience to the pursuit and execution of results that solve problems
Program parts to be cut per specifications with best cutting conditions and material utilization.

The CNC Machinist performs detailed machine setups, G & M code (CNC) programming, machine process improvement and troubleshooting, and produces machined parts using a variety of CNC machines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities include the following.Perform machine setups quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
Work with engineering and CAM programming department to develop and improve CNC programs.
Design and aid in the fabrication of fixturing for parts of varying complexity.
Advise supervisor and programming team of technical advancements to increase production.
Operate machines to produce production runs of parts.
Maintain quality standards through understanding of the Quality Management System
Monitor and document operational and performance issues and provide feedback to supervisor.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisors, and other staff.
Education and/or Experience
Required:High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary CNC education preferred.
8+ years of CNC machine operation
G & M code fluency and ability to edit programs
High level of blueprint reading required.
Proficiency with Haas control is a plus.
Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
